The Train

We travelled on holidays to St Ives in Cornwall somtimes by train. The end part of the journey is beautiful, the train runs right alongside the sea, the waves when the tide is in hit the windows. Its very exciting when you're little and the boys loved that part. On one particular journey we had almost reached this part when Dad went to the toilet, I remember the boys worrying that Grandad would miss the waves!! We all whooped when the sea hit the window..........then the slide doors opened and in came Dad absolutely drenched! He had realised we were at the wave section and stood by the window to look. What he hadn't realised was that the window was open - the wave had caught him full on!! All the carriage full of people laughed, he was a bit grumpy at first then laughed out loud himself. He did look hysterically funny!!
