We used to have a lovely caravan, we loved going there at weekends - such a lot of fun. It didn't have a toilet though and we had to go to a toilet/shower block. Dad did a lot of work on the caravan, one thing being a lovely big shed as a "bathroom" so we didn't have to walk to the toilet block. It had a chemical toilet, proper sink on a pedestal, pumped water and waste pipes etc. We also used it to store stuff, paddling pool, garden tools etc. One night Dad went out to the bathroom and then came running back all flustered into the caravan. "Don't go in the shed" he said, "There are rabbits in there, they must have burrowed in, I'll sort it in the morning". So during that night, we had to traipse all the way to the toilet block (or use the bucket!!). In the morning we all went out to see the rabbits that had made a home in our shed.................. only to find a pile of wellington boots scattered all over the place!! Dad had tripped over the boots, and run out in a panic thinking he was treading on rabbits! He was never allowed to forget that one, so typical of him.
