Please know that you are never far from my thoughts. When I'm sad I think of you because I wish I could phone you for a chat and a laugh. When I'm happy I wish I could share it with you. When I'm watching horse racing on the tv I think of you and when I think of St Ives I remember the lovely holidays and the giggles we had. It still really hurts when I realise that you are no longer in the world - not at the end of the phone. I don't know if I regret not coming to America to see you: It would be nice to have some memories of seeing where you lived, meeting your friends etc., but I wouldn't have wanted the memory of having us both so upset when I had to come home and had to say goodbye.
